Professional Experience: I have served as Director of Insurance since June 2004.  I was the first employee of the IDA’s for-profit subsidiary, IDA Insurance Services.  I am thankful to the IDA Board of Trustees for making the bold decision to leave a TPA and begin offering insurance directly through the Association and IDA Insurance.  I hold Indiana insurance licenses for Life/Health and Property/Casualty.  I am daily involved in serving our members and their employees in all lines of insurance.  I am also working to find new opportunities to best serve IDA members and their dental team.

Goals: I want to continue growing IDA Insurance so that we can serve all IDA members and their employees.  No matter what the statistics might say, I believe we can serve 100% of member dentists and their employees.  My passion and goal is to serve you either directly with insurance products and savings, or indirectly by providing advice and information on Insurance topics.  I know there is a way I can serve you, and that is my goal.

Personal: I have lived in Avon, Indiana since 1991.  I enjoy being a Hoosier and now raising a family of Hoosiers.  My lovely wife is Heather, and we have two kids, Austin (8) and Ava (6).  I enjoy coaching their sports teams and volunteering in our church’s high school ministry. 

Laurie Cambell

Health Insurance Specialist

Professional Experience: As Health Insurance Specialist, I help when an IDA member or one of their staff would like to acquire health insurance – whether it be group insurance or individual. I enjoy the challenge that no day is the same and it constantly keeps me learning. I have been with the IDA for almost 14 years (serving in a variety of capacities) and enjoy the interaction with dentists and their employees.

Goals: I strive to develop and maintain relationships within the IDA members and their staff by being the Health Insurance Specialist you can count on. I work each day to build a reputation centered on the acronym “RAVE” – Respect, Appreciate and Value Everyone.

Personal: I live on the southside of Indianapolis with my dog, Harbaugh. I enjoy watching sports, (especially the Colts and IU), traveling, and spending time with family and friends. I love being a Hoosier.

Ashley Snell

Multi-Lines Insurance Agent

Professional Experience: I have worked at the IDA for more than a year, and previously worked at State Farm.  As a Multi-Line Insurance Agent (and a Notary Public) with IDA Insurance Services, I bring a knowledge of property and casualty and passion for serving people.  I am licensed in Life and Health Insurance, but my main focus is towards a Dentist's Malpractice and Property coverage.  I began my insurance career three years ago with State Farm Insurance, primarily selling and servicing auto and homeowner’s insurance.  I plan to continue my growth and knowledge in all areas, in hopes to grow not only our book of business, and the products that IDA Insurance can offer, but the trust of our insureds and member dentists.

Goals: One of my biggest goals is giving accurate, effective and timely information and service to our member dentists and insureds.  I’ve found that in my experience with other insurance agents that they are either pushy or tend to give alleged “accurate” information just to get business.  I am the complete opposite.  Most of you know that I am more laid back and try to make things as easy as possible for all of our member dentists.  A very important goal in this aspect is just to give honest, accurate and un-biased information to our members.  If you’re offering great products that you honestly believe in, there should NEVER be a pushy sales pitch. 

Personal: I am a proud mother of an (almost) 2 year old daughter, Madeline, and an (almost) year old Bullmastiff, Ophilia.  My better half, Mike, and I live in Speedway, Indiana, very close to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.  I love football, reading, friends and family.  Don’t hold it against me, but I am a Chicago Bears fan.  I really have a passion for what I do and would never consider it a job, but more a career.
